with the material requirements.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq-item\"><div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24a6-question\">May only glue intended for wood be used?<span class=\"faq-icon\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"faq-answer\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24a6-answer\" style=\"display: none;\">Any glue suitable for connecting wooden elements, strings, and the like can be used to build the model.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq-item\"><div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24ad-question\">Can glue be used during a 30-minute on-site installation?<span class=\"faq-icon\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"faq-answer\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24ad-answer\" style=\"display: none;\">Yes. Glue can be used to assemble the model according to material requirements.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq-item\"><div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24b4-question\">Is it possible to lean the structure against the side of the bench? Is there a board or free space on the side of the bench?<span class=\"faq-icon\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"faq-answer\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24b4-answer\" style=\"display: none;\">Bracing the structure against the side of the bench is not permitted. To absorb tensile and horizontal forces, the bench is fitted with two anchor points located 750 mm from the right edge of the bench.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq-item\"><div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24bc-question\">How deep is the anchor hole (i.e., anchor point)?<span class=\"faq-icon\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"faq-answer\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24bc-answer\" style=\"display: none;\">The anchor point is a hole passing through the entire thickness of the bench plate. The bench plate is made of 6 mm thick sheet metal. The anchor point is accessible from both the top and bottom of the bench plate.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq-item\"><div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24c4-question\">Can a metal part (e.g., a screw) be used in the \u03d56 mm anchor hole?<span class=\"faq-icon\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"faq-answer\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24c4-answer\" style=\"display: none;\">The model cannot be anchored to the anchor point with a metal element. Metal fasteners may only be used to connect parts before the model acceptance.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq-item\"><div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24cb-question\">Are there any manufacturing dimensional tolerances? E.g., for mounting the bridge deck at 100 mm? Could +- 1 mm be a reason for disqualification, for example?<span class=\"faq-icon\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"faq-answer\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24cb-answer\" style=\"display: none;\">The bridge deck must be approximately horizontal, with a height tolerance of +\/- 20 mm from a height of 100 mm. The bridge deck is the structure on which the weights are placed.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq-item\"><div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24d3-question\">A truss structure with a rectangular outline is drawn in the Geometric Requirements. Is this outline binding? Can I use a different geometry, such as an arch?<span class=\"faq-icon\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"faq-answer\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24d3-answer\" style=\"display: none;\">The shape of the structure in the schematic diagram is not binding. A different shape is possible, provided that the geometric requirements and other conditions arising from the rules are met.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq-item\"><div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24db-question\">Does the bridge deck have to be 200 mm wide, or can it be narrower if I am able to perform load tests?<span class=\"faq-icon\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"faq-answer\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24db-answer\" style=\"display: none;\">The width of the bridge deck is not specified. The load area is 200 mm wide, and all weights must be placed within this area. The bridge deck must allow 150 mm long weights to be placed perpendicular to the longitudinal axis close to each other. The weights form a continuous surface, and no structural elements may pass between them.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq-item\"><div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24e4-question\">The rules state that:\nAfter successful verification of the dimensions, contestants will be provided with a workspace and 30 minutes to assemble the model.\n- Is it possible to connect the parts of the model inseparably during this time period (e.g., with superglue)? In other words, to connect the parts of the model in such a way that it can no longer be taken apart?\n<span class=\"faq-icon\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"faq-answer\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24e4-answer\" style=\"display: none;\">Yes, the use of superglue, for example, is permitted. Assembling the model means connecting the parts to test the model. The task models a real-life situation where assembly units are transported separately and connected on the construction site. The assembled structure does not need to be disassembled.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq-item\"><div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24ee-question\">Is it permissible to use steel hinges that do not exceed 30 mm from the hinge axis in any direction? Is it permissible to use screws?<span class=\"faq-icon\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"faq-answer\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24ee-answer\" style=\"display: none;\">Steel hinges are permitted if they are used as mounting fasteners to connect individual parts. The use of screws is permitted. The condition that no part of the fastener protrudes more than 30 mm from the axis of the joint must be observed.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq-item\"><div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24f6-question\">Must the load-bearing part of the model be mounted on the sides of the bridge deck as shown in the Geometric schematic diagram, or can it be located only directly under the bridge deck?<span class=\"faq-icon\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"faq-answer\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24f6-answer\" style=\"display: none;\">The shape of the structure in the diagrams is illustrative. The load-bearing part of the model does not have to be located on the sides of the bridge deck.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq-item\"><div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24fe-question\">Must a clearance for cars be left, or can it be negligible?<span class=\"faq-icon\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"faq-answer\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df24fe-answer\" style=\"display: none;\">No clearance profile is specified for the model. The model must allow for the placement of weights.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq-item\"><div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df2505-question\">Can the floor plan of the bridge structure exceed the ground plan of the support box?<span class=\"faq-icon\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"faq-answer\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df2505-answer\" style=\"display: none;\">The floor plan of the structure may exceed the dimensions of the support box. The model may only touch the upper surface of the support box.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq-item\"><div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df250c-question\">May the weights be placed on the primary structural members (avoiding the deck) - such that the weight spans two primary girders. Or does it go against the requirement of  &quot;weight does not become its substantial structural part&quot;?<span class=\"faq-icon\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"faq-answer\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df250c-answer\" style=\"display: none;\">Weights can be placed directly on the load-bearing elements of the model.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq-item\"><div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df254b-question\">What does it mean that &quot;Weights must not become a substantial structural part of the model&quot;?<span class=\"faq-icon\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"faq-answer\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df254b-answer\" style=\"display: none;\">The weights must be freely placed on the structure and must not participate in transmitting internal forces. For example, the weights must not act as a strut.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq-item\"><div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df257d-question\">20)\tCan the load area (see Figure 3 \u2013 black rectangle) also be the highest point of the bridge structure? A hot glue gun falls under the category &quot;any adhesive&quot;.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq-item\"><div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df259f-question\">Is it permissible to use gang nail plates to connect model parts?<span class=\"faq-icon\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"faq-answer\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df259f-answer\" style=\"display: none;\">The use of Gang Nail is permitted, but the metal fastener must not protrude more than 30 mm from the joint axis. The maximum weight of the model is 3000 g.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq-item\"><div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df25a8-question\">Is the total height of the bridge arbitrary, or is there an upper limit?<span class=\"faq-icon\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"faq-answer\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df25a8-answer\" style=\"display: none;\">There is no upper limit for the total height of the model.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq-item\"><div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df25af-question\">Can the width of the bridge be smaller than the dimensions of the weight? In other words, can the weight be placed with an overlap (e.g., with a bridge width of 120 mm)?<span class=\"faq-icon\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"faq-answer\" id=\"faq-6a0d310df25af-answer\" style=\"display: none;\">The minimum width of the bridge deck is not specified and the weights may overlap. However, the structure must allow for the placement of 150 mm long weights (placed tightly to each other perpendicular to the axis) so that the entire surface of the weights remains within the defined load area 200 mm in width.
